Looking for the Goodness in People

Here we have William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, telling us how to treat people we meet.

Questioner: William LePar said that spiritually successful people can look at anybody and see some goodness in them. And sometimes you look at somebody and you know in your mind that you are both made by the same Creator, but beyond that there is nothing to see.

The Council: Well, if you can see that, that is a start. There are some individuals it is very hard to see any good in them. There are some individuals other than just knowing that they were made by the same Creator that made you is the best you can do. From that point on it is positive thinking or hopeful thinking. Do you understand?

Questioner: Yes, kind of.

The Council: Sometimes it is necessary to give a person the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes it requires a number of times, but the thing you must remember is when you give a person like that the benefit of the doubt, you may be surprised one of these times they may prove that they were worthy of your benefit of the doubt. There are some people that just takes a little longer to get started. Then, of course, there are always those that will never get started. With those, move on.

Meditation and Communicating with the Higher Self

In the final part of this three-part series, William LePar’s spiritual source, The Council, explains what is guidance from above and what is not.

Questioner:  I have a question about meditation.  How do you know when you are getting, when your thought is not yours, but is supposedly from your inner soul or inner being or from God?  Is it just knowing?  You just will know?  Or is there another sign you look for?

The Council:  Well, it depends on what your personal beliefs are.  There are a number of ways according to different beliefs in testing such things.  A general rule that is as safe as anything is to evaluate what is given to you and see that it does not contradict what you know as Divine principles or the Ten Commandments.  You must remember that the Ten Commandments, although they are reduced to some very simple statements are very grand spiritual truths.  They encompass much above what just the words say, yet they have not been condensed in such a way so as to lose their immensity.  They were condensed into ten simple statements so that they would become more useful to mankind as a whole.  If you study those Ten Commandments, and understand them, then those are more than sufficient or adequate measures of evaluating anything that you would get in meditation or what have you.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes, thank you.

The Council:  A lot of people in the future will be somewhat shocked to find, as spirituality does actually grow in them and in the world, there will be a certain amount of returning to the old-fashioned principles.  That will sadden some but that is the way life goes. There are some basic truths that man will not be able to escape. Oh, he can run from them, but he will eventually find himself guiding himself right back into them headfirst.
