The Council: Christmas signifies the birth of the Christ Child. Let that christ in you be reborn at this time of the year. Give love. Give compassion. Give understanding. Give of yourself.
May the Holidays bring you all the joy that you could possibly want. May the New Year bring you all the happiness that this Divine Presence wants for you. May your life be full of the valuable things in life, the intangible things, the spiritual things. May the Peace and Joy of our Infinite Father shine down upon you and around you and within each and every one of you, and may you and all your loved ones, your family and your extended family, have the most happiest of holidays. We thank you.

Giving What We Don't Have
In this information from
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, they explain how we can get the
most out of our life.
The Council: ... let us see
if we cannot make a comment on the proper attitude one should have in life.
How can you give out
something you don't have? Well, the answer is you cannot. One must begin to
look at oneself in such a manner so as to discover some element that is worthy
of loving. The whole exercise of a life in the material form is for one purpose
and one purpose only and that is to love others as you love yourself. If you
cannot love yourself, then your life is going to be wasted. If you are in such
a situation where you do not love yourself, then take a portion of your life and
discover a reason for loving yourself, aside from the egotistical approach. Do
good for others and find joy in that. Certainly, at times it can be a task, it
can be a challenge. You may reach points where you say you are ready to give
up. Well, that is acceptable, too, because those are emotions, but stay in
there because those emotions will go. All things have a time, a season. You
must learn to accept this, and if at a given point in time you are tired of
carrying a burden, stick it out because that time will pass and it will be no
more a burden than getting dressed in the morning.
If one can begin to look at
their life as a task of self-discovery, and that before that individual lies
many avenues, but only one will be direct. We can guarantee you that one will
usually be the steepest. The more that life asks of you, the steeper the path
will be, the quicker you will climb to the mountaintop. If you take some other
road that may appear to be less steep, you will never be sure that you will end
up at the top of the mountain. You can perform many great deeds in life, and
then you can perform many great deeds in life.
Why the two statements? The first is performing great deeds. Doing
things. Actions. Activities. Accomplishments. They are automatic, so to speak.
They are more a fulfilling of nothing more than an obligation. This in itself
is not entirely wrong. But then there is
the other good deeds, where the heart is in it, where actions are taken, things
are done, because deep inside there is that desire to show the kindness, to
show the gentleness, to show the dependability, and when those things are done
for others, to show the respect that you have for the other person. One
requires the ability to love oneself in a godly manner. The other one only
requires determination and physical energy. The one that requires a godly love
and self-respect for oneself applies to the latter example that we have given.
You might as well reap all the benefits of actions, especially when it is such
a simple condition that you must establish within yourself, and that is the
ability to love yourself, therefore love others. If you take the other road,
well, it will be a lot of effort put forth and not very much accomplished as
far as you as an individual will be concerned.

Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 6
Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 6
In the final portion of this six-part series, William
LePar's spiritual source, The Council, gives us another important piece of
information. Here they give us the key to removing all karmic debt in this
lifetime so that reincarnation, for us, is unnecessary.
Questioner: In your
opening statement, you referred to our lives as being a lake that has been disturbed
by our mistakes. When we come back, are we trying to change things so that the lake smoothes
out? Is that what you were referring to?
The Council: It is
not necessary to wait till you come back. You can still the lake to a degree in
this present experience or in this present life. You must remember there is a
portion of the spiritual cycle that is now in play. This is what might be
referred to as a bridge segment of what most people refer to as the New Age or
the Golden Age or the Age of Light. You are not fully into it yet, you are
still in the bridge portion of it, and during this particular time, karma takes
on a new aspect or as we have said in the past, the new karma, which means that
you do not have to correct all your karmic debt from the past. What you must do
to overcome the karmic picture that you have created and the need for any other
reincarnations is simply live this life the best you can with what you have. It
is not necessary to undergo the old practice of karma which is an eye for an
eye and a tooth for a tooth. In this bridge portion of the spiritual cycle, a
new aspect has been added so that it is not necessary to wipe the slate
completely clean. What is required is make the effort to do so, and then forget
about the rest. Now, this cannot be a one-time effort or a two-time effort. As
you live the rest of your life, you must constantly try to do the best you can.
Oh, there will be times when you just will not do it, but spiritual success is
guaranteed to those who fall and will pick themselves back up. So, if you try
and you fall back into old habits or old ways, do not stay there. Try again,
start over, and keep this process up. Then when you leave the material
manifestation and you ask yourself, did you do the best you could?, your answer
will then be yes, and you will move on to a Whole new realm of growth and development.

Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 5
In the fifth part of this six-part series we are told about
the different forms of love that we can practice in our day-to-day existence
and how practicing them leads us to a higher spiritual plane. Again, at the end
of this quote William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, gives us important
thoughts about life.
The Council: A few
points or steps in expressing that godliness that lies within you is to be able
to love others without judgment, to be able to accept the need to love without
anything asked in return, to love without any strings attached. This is a
spiritual love.
Another love that you must attempt to practice is the love
that you have for your family, for your loved ones, for your spouses, for your
children, for your parents, and that is a love of taking care of, nurturing.
Another form of love is what is commonly called brotherly love, but it also
indicates a friendship love, a respect for other individuals, and a concern for
other individuals. There is still another love and that is a community love or
a communal love, and this type of love, it is a reaching out, it is becoming
active in community projects that uplift the community, that benefit the
community, that adds to society as a whole. If you take these different forms
of love and attempt to practice them in your life, if you begin to think and
act upon a decision as opposed to a reaction, your life will begin to improve
immeasurably because you will have begun to realize your true spiritual
potential. You will begin to realize that with all your good aspects, with all
your positive aspects, and with all your not so positive aspects, you have a
uniqueness to give to mankind. Your mission in life, and all have a mission, is
to offer yourself, your love, to your fellow man.
Spiritual growth is not a way of life that asks you to do
without, but it is a way of life that asks you to give so that there is a
greater room within to receive. Matter, creation, life, the earth, is in
existence because of a consciousness. Your life is in existence because of a
consciousness that you have. Matter can be looked upon as the effects, and
consciousness is the cause. To change your life into something more positive
filled with greater joy and peace, change your consciousness ever so little, if
that is the best that you can do, and your life will improve, your happiness
will be assured, your joy and your peace will be yours. Spiritual growth, and
this is an important statement, cannot be gained through the knowledge that you
have or the wisdom that you have, it cannot be lost because you may have a lack
of knowledge or wisdom, spiritual growth is gained only by what you do with
what you have. This Divine Essence will accept you as you are, if you will only
allow that to happen.

Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 4
In this quote from William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, they tell us how we earn entrance into the heavenly realms. The last sentence in this quote is truly a key to our success in life.
The Council: The destiny that you have once you leave the material manifestation is not measured by how many good things you have done as opposed to how many bad things you have done, but it is measured by the true heart's desire. There are many things in life that you do that you wish you had not done, that you do not seem to be able to get full control on, will that hamper you from the God-Made Heavenly Realms? Not necessarily, not necessarily. If the circumstances in life have been such that you are not capable of certain things, does this withhold you from the God-Made Heavenly Realms? No. What will allow you entrance into the God-Made Heavenly Realms is when you ask yourself, "How much did I do? How much did I really try?" The answer that you give yourself will determine which of the Heavenly Realms you will go to. This Divine Essence does not judge you. This Divine God does not judge you. He does not weigh your good faults and your bad faults. He accepts you just as you are, all the good in you and all the bad in you, all the positive and all the negative. But you see, deep in you is a god in the making, a rediscovery of self, taking that divine essence, that divine spark, that spiritual electricity, and bringing it into the totality of your consciousness, your soul, your physical life, and allowing it to manifest to those around you. That is what life is about. A quality life or a spiritual life does not depend on how much you have; it depends on how much you have given of yourself.

Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 3
In this third section of our six-part series William LePar's
spiritual source, The Council, continues with the theme of improving our lives
by growing in self-respect. They offer an essential "helping hand" to
the process of spiritual growth.
The Council: So, to
change your life, to make it more productive, to give you more in life of what
you want, to bring a spiritual development or growth to yourself, first love
yourself. Have a self-respect, a self-esteem for yourself, and then create an
image in your mind of yourself, create a positive image of yourself. A helping
hand or an essential aspect of spiritual growth is something that your world
today dislikes. Most of the world today feels this thing is not good, is
old-fashioned, is unworthy. What is this thing?
It is discipline. In your society today, the word "discipline"
is a vile word. It is dirty. It is unacceptable. Your society feels that
discipline means to do without. This shows a lack of wisdom and insight because
discipline does not mean do without, discipline means gain control of yourself
so that you can have all that you wish in life, so that you can benefit from
all experiences, so that you can have a life of peace, of joy, of happiness, so
that you can have spiritual growth and all the material things in life that you
wish. Discipline does not mean to do without. Discipline means to take control
of yourself, give yourself a direction in life and follow that direction, by
making conscious, well-thought-out decisions. Do not react, but act. Gain
control of your life, gain control of yourself. Think about each challenge that
comes to your life, each crossroads that you come to. Discipline means to gain
all that you wish to gain. It does not mean to do without. Those things that
you can control, wonderful, control them. Those faults that you may have that
you cannot control, at least, with discipline, you are able to practice a
degree of moderation. And so that which you cannot control, at least moderate
it to a degree.

Why some Lives are Filled with Problems - Part 2
This is a continuation of the information given by William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, during their first trance for the general public. In the previous quote they explained how poor choices in life can lead to other, more severe, poor choices. Here they tell us how we can stop the process of poor decisions and return to our chosen life path.
The Council: How does one begin to correct the situation? How can one return back to that peace, that calm, that still lake? One must begin to think and then act as opposed to reacting. To change your life, you must begin to act instead of react. What is necessary then to begin to act in a more godly way? A keystone in spiritual growth or development is this: You cannot grow one iota if you do not love yourself. The problem with the world today is that it does not love itself, it loves things, material possessions. But the individual creations of the Divine, within life, do not love themselves. They have lost that insight that they once had to their true value. So the first step one must take is to begin to love themselves, not in an egotistical way but in a godly way. Then one must begin to respect themselves, to have self-esteem, again not in an egotistical way but in a godly way. You must remember that there is a value to you regardless of how lacking in love you are or how many things you have done that you are not proud of, there still is a value to you. You have something to offer to mankind that only you can offer; no one else has that ability, that quality, that presence, to offer. You are a unique individual and only you can fulfill your mission in life. No one can fulfill it for you. So in that sense you are extremely important in all of creation. You are of true value because you have something to give. Do not worry what it may be, but think of giving of yourself. Create a self-image for yourself. Begin to think of yourself as a better person than what you presently think of yourself, again not in an egotistical manner but in the sense of having a respect for yourself, knowing that you do have something to offer that no one else can give.

Why some Lives are filled with Problems - Part 1
This is the first of a six-part series delivered by William
LePar's spiritual source, The Council, during their first trance for the
general public. In this series of quotes they explain, in picture form, how
poor choices in our lives can lead to future problems which might never have
occurred if we had taken more time to seek a better solution.
The Council: Reality
is a collection of all of you creating together, not as individuals but as
members of an orchestra. You are in concert with each other. The material
manifestation or the earthly life is the opportunity to work with other
entities in the growth process; it is a giving and a taking; it is a sharing.
Why are some lives so filled with problems? Why are some lives filled with so much
sadness and sorrow? Why is it some
people never seem to go anyplace? They
seem to stand still. Let us give you a little example of how life works.
Although some of you may find this very hard to believe, initially when you
made all the spiritual agreements and contracts to experience life with those
around you, your life was planned out so that it would be filled with peace,
contentment, happiness, and joy. If this be the case, then why are so many
lives contrary to this? Picture your
life as a lake, as smooth and quiet as a mirror, a piece of glass. At some
time, at some place, at some experience in your life you reached a crossroads
where a decision had to be made. A decision was made, but the decision was not
as good as it could have been, and so this caused a ripple on the surface and
slightly distorted the clarity of it. So as life progressed then another
crossroads came, another decision had to be made. The decision was made not
through the clarity of the lake or the pool as it was originally, but now that
decision is made through that ripple effect, and so the clarity of sight is not
there, and again a wrong decision is made causing a greater degree of ripples,
more ripples, less clarity, less quiet, less calm, less clear. And as life goes
on then, each decision is made through this distortion, through this lack of
clarity until finally this peaceful, placid lake, this mirror, is totally
distorted, all clarity gone. This is how life becomes a trial. This is how
hardships come into being. Once the lake becomes so distorted, then decisions
are no longer really made, but instead of decisions they become reactions to
emotions and to situations, reactions to emotions and situations.

Growing Spiritually
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, says that the soul creates the best life plan that it can so that it will grow spiritually.
The Council: When each of you come into the material manifestation to live a life, to attain that perfect state, believe this or not, your lives are planned out, as a general rule, to be quite calm and peaceful. You will have a certain amount of sorrow in it, a certain amount of sickness, a certain amount of joy, and a certain amount of work. If you live your life as you generally plan it, it will be filled with a good balance of all things. Unfortunately, very few individuals have that kind of life because someplace along the line they make a choice based on the selfish ego. What happens when this occurs is you begin to set up a rippling effect in your life. Instead of that clear picture of choice, the clarity becomes rippled, much as a lake that is very calm, you toss a pebble in it and it creates ringlets that keep going out and out and out. Once the first choice is made based on the ego and self-serving ego, you create a series of rippling effects. The next decision in life is looked at through this rippling effect, which gives it somewhat of a distorted picture. If the mind is not or the conscience is not wise enough to make a choice not based on ego but based on what is best and good and spiritual, the ripples become more distorted, another pebble is thrown in and this is an accumulative error that is created and this continues then through life, which then begins to distort the peace and tranquility that the life was supposed to undergo.
So each decision in life based on the ego, self-serving ego distorts the view for the next decision. Someplace along the line one must return to the original clarity of thought or the clarity of vision. That means that sometimes the rippling effect when a perfect decision is made or a perfect choice is made the consequences of that may not be as pleasing as one would hope. So, you can reduce this rippling effect or this distortion by going through life making the proper choices. Life will then begin to level out again. Now, this is creating your life. Your talents are the same way. You create the talent you want. There is a natural ability to the soul in all artistic and uplifting things. It is part of the soul to express itself in a loving and godly way, in a way of art and beauty.
So it is bringing out this talent, this artistic talent, this beauty of the soul through this rippled existence or incorrect vision or whatever you choose to call it. So you may be able to reach that perfect balance of meditation or prayer and practice but because of wrong choices you will never attain the respect of the public. But then, too, one should ask, are you striving for prominence so that the ego is fed or are you striving to produce something beautiful that is uplifting for those around you and for yourself?

Inspiration and Guidance
Mr.
LePar’s source The Council says, “Words constitute nothing. Action is proof. It
makes it so.” There are philosophies that state that the purpose of life is
simply - to experience life. That is it. No right or wrong, good or bad, just
experiences. I can say without a doubt that The Council would disagree with
this concept. Below is their basic philosophy about the value that each of us
have in making our world a better place.
The
Council: “Each of you can make a decisive change in yourself and in the world,
in your consciousness and in the consciousness of mankind. The world can only
experience light if each of you will allow that godly spark in you to shine
forth, to brighten yourself and those next to you, and this godly light acts as
a contagion as one individual sees your light shine, this stimulates them to
allow their light to shine, and eventually all mankind can become abright with
the divine that lies within each and every one of you. Regardless of how bad
your world may become, regardless of how negative it may become, you are not
doomed to that. None of you are. You can make changes in yourself that will
definitely, absolutely influence others around you, and they in turn will be
able to influence more, and that light, that godly attitude towards life,
towards yourself can grow and grow and grow until the entire world is a
spiritual place, a heaven on earth, a new world, a new life. You do not need
some highly evolved soul. You do not need us. All you need is to know that you
can make a change in yourself and thereby begin to change the world. As we said
earlier, it is not the wisdom that you have, it is not the knowledge that you
have, it is not what you have that will make you spiritual, but it is what you
are willing to do with what you do have that will make you spiritual, that will
make you godlike, that will make you fulfill yourself, to resume your rightful
place in the creation of creation, to again return to your godly state so that
you can once again experience that Divine energy, that Divine activity, so that
this great Creator, this Father, this Infinite Light, can take you in His Arms
and hold you to His Bosom as a precious jewel, a wondrous gem, something of
such great and such value that He could not be complete without it. This is
your rightful place, this is what you are destined to, sooner or later, one way
or another. You may fight your godliness all the way to receiving your crown,
but it will be a battle in vain, for you are destined to be with that Divine
Presence.”

How Karma Works
In this selection William
LePar's spiritual source, The Council tells us how karma works.
Questioner: So, people
really get themselves in a bad way in this life, that is not the way it has to
be, like people who deservedly, if I can say that, get ... [a] traumatic
disease, that does not have anything to do with the fact that they were real
stinkers in a past life, it has to do with the fact that they did not change
their way of activity which caused the problems in the past life and is still
causing problems in this life?
Questioner: Yes, one other question. Between the lives, when you are not in the physical and you are laying out the life plan for the next life, are you thinking clearly in a godly self-loving fashion at that point?
The Council: Well, when the final point of actually planning out the lifetime, you have worked through all this hodge-podge of misthinking and misunderstanding and you have centered back on the proper understanding and that is that evolvement comes through the act of self-love and respect and that same love and respect for others. So, your life is planned out that way. That does not eliminate the ego problem you have. You still have that choice that must be made. Will you take the avenue that is right or will you take the avenue that pleases you the most?
Questioner: Where is that ego when you clear everything away and you are making your life plan, you don't have a problem with your ego at that point?
The Council: No, because the ego is turned into self-esteem. It is a positive aspect. You need ego to carry you through life. There are two types of ego. There is a destructive ego which is a self-serving ego, and there is the proper ego that fortifies the self-esteem.
Questioner: That gets out of balance when you get back into the physical world?
The Council: Yes.

Perpetuating Karma
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, talks about the mistakes we make and the consequences. This information is a follow-up from the previous posting.
Questioner: Does that mean if you have a lot of karmic debt and come back and you have planned a life of service but it is relatively peaceful and you start making the wrong decisions, is that sort of unleashing all that load, all the karmic debt, is it more forceful then if you start making the wrong decisions?
The Council: Well, you generally make decisions of less and less quality which causes you more and more problems. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: So what happens then is you perpetuate the karmic debt and you add to it. The karma does not dictate tremendous pain and suffering. Karma is paying the price for what you have done, that is all things will return to you. Well, what creates karma is your withholding of love, and when you do this, this creates all types of problems for yourself and for others. So, doesn't it make sense that if you plan out a life of service and love to others that that should peacefully correct the karma? Unfortunately, the ego fouls you up again. You do not follow the original plan. Does that answer the question?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: Man has been taught that karma means suffering and pain. Well, that is man's understanding of the law of the Divine, but that is not the way that the law of the Divine must work. You make it into a situation where that is the way it works, but it is not necessary for it to work that way. If you have done dastardly things in previous lifetimes, the only way that you can correct those things is through love, loving yourself and loving others. So, doesn't it make good common sense to plan out a life of love and service to correct your karmic debt? Well, whether it makes sense to you or not, that is the way the law goes, that is the universal constant that exists. Love is the pathway to growth and evolvement, but you people just do not want to look at life and your existence in those terms.
(Editor's note: I took the liberty of adding this in closing to this posting.)
The Council: May the Peace and the Joy of the Infinite Father be upon you all, and may His Light shine down upon you, around you, and within each of you. This is our standard opening blessing at all the communications. We ask that each of you accept this blessing in good will.

The Living Essence of All
This
is one of my favorite quotes from William LePar's spiritual source, The
Council. I believe that it expresses, as well as I can understand it, the
expanse of God's creation how each of us fit into it and the total love that He
has for each of His creations. It is short but I think almost poetic. Also, for
me, it touches the soul.
he
Council: God is the living essence of
all that is created spiritual and material, and as this essence you simply feed
off of it, you are suspended in this ocean of love, in this universe of love,
you are similar to a beautiful goldfish in a bowl, but a bowl that is so
tremendous that it encompasses all that is ever and ever will be created, and
each of you are capable of having your own universe to work in. You cannot live
or exist in any place without touching the life-giving love of the Infinite
Father.
As
a beautiful piece of needlepoint or tapestry is developed, it is first
constructed from a backing, the stitches are placed very precisely in certain
places in this backing, and as time progresses then a beautiful picture is
formed and the backing is completely covered. You are the beautiful stitches;
the backing that holds those stitches together is the Divine: that is the basis
of the tapestry, the stitches are of no value without the backing, but the
backing has a value for anyone else who wishes to apply their stitches to it.
The foundation is always the necessity.

Healing Power of Animals Part 1
In
the next two postings William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, discusses
animals and healing. They also point out that a person's attitudes towards
animals can give insight into the quality of that person's soul.
The
Council: If you have a friend or a relative who is ailing and lonely and you
give him a gift of an animal and it brings him joy and something to look forward
to, you are in a sense giving them a healing. This also can be carried to an
actual physical healing.
There
is much to be said for those who love pets or animals. There have been many
situations where the desire to fulfill the responsibility that one has to a pet
has brought that individual the healing necessary to give that individual the
additional time to fulfill that responsibility and also beyond that time
necessary.
There
are instances where there can be, shall we say, a soothing effect by animals
themselves that would assist in a healing in a physical sense or what have you,
but an animal itself can not actually heal per se. Do you understand?
Questioner:
Yes.
The
Council: Just so none of you are, shall we say, hoodwinked into thinking that there
are healing cats or dogs that walk around. Continue.
Questioner:
Then you might be saying that animals themselves help us in our spiritual
progression?
The
Council: Absolutely.
Questioner:
Is it at all reciprocal? Do they have a spiritual progression and do we help
them?
The
Council: No. They come from a central stockpile of spiritual existence that is
for man's development and growth. In other words it is a central stockpile of
spiritual energy that continually re-manifests in the material for the service
of mankind, but mankind must assume the responsibility for that animal or for
that amount of spiritual energy as it manifests into an animal in the material
form. Man has a responsibility to the well-being of any domesticated animal.
There
are times when the love that you give to an animal can make it, shall we say,
permanent. It can give a dimension to that form or that amount of spiritual
energy that would be somewhat equivalent to a soul. In other words, instead of
that energy returning then to the central stockpile of spiritual energy it is
held out so that it has an individual state of existence for your use at a
future time or for your comfort at a future time, but in no way should animals
be abused. The way an individual treats an animal can sometimes be a very good
sign of the state of their soul, and also compare the way some individuals
treat an animal as opposed to them treating another individual and this can
also be a good determining factor in the state of their soul or this can be a factor
that you use in determining the state of their soul.
In
the second part of The Council's discussion on pets they will give some insight
into the psychic abilities of animals and a severe warning to those who abuse
animals.
Healing Power of Animals Part 2
In
the second part of The Council's discussion on pets they give some insight into
the psychic abilities of animals and a severe warning to those who abuse
animals. I have a friend who told me a story about her illness that
demonstrates clearly how sensitive animals can be.
My
friend, Pam and her husband, Bill found a young dog at the side of the road one
rainy, cold day. They could not leave it so they brought it home with the
intention of finding a suitable person to take him. As you can imagine the
little fellow grew on them and soon became the third member of the family. The
dog, Sammy, became much closer to Bill than to Pam. While Bill was at work
Sammy was outside chasing squirrels and rabbits or just lying in whatever spot
he found most pleasing.
After
a year or two, Pam developed a severe problem in her lower back. It became so
painful that she had to sleep on the floor. While awaiting surgery she found
that even during the day it was necessary to lie on the floor to receive any
comfort. Immediately Sammy lay down beside her. If she turned on her side,
Sammy cuddled up next to her, putting his warm body against the area that hurt.
Sammy would not leave her at any time. He would not go to his food and water
bowl. He would not even go outside to do his business. Bill had to pick him up
and carry him outside. As soon as he did his business, he immediately ran back
to Pam's side. Bill had to bring the food and water bowls over to where Pam was
lying.
After
the surgery, Sammy lay beside Pam's bed day and night. When she went out on the
porch to get some afternoon sun, Sammy stayed right at her feet. If ANYONE
approached her besides her husband he immediately moved between them and her
and made a sound that definitely said, "Don't come any closer. She's under
my protection."
In
a few weeks Pam was healing quite well and back to her normal activities. As
this occurred Sammy went back to his normal activities, chasing squirrels and
rabbits, paying no attention to Pam at all, just as he had done in the past. He
seemed to realize that his special giving of love, his task was completed.
The
Council's thoughts on pets and healing:
Questioner:
When an individual is sick and they have a pet and their pet stays close to
them throughout the whole sickness, is this a sign that maybe the pet is being
used by someone to help with the healing?
The
Council: It could be, but you must remember that a pet does have feelings; it
does have emotions; it may not be able to think as, how shall we put it, it may
not be able to think as logically or as analytically as the human mind can, but
it does know, it can think, it is not just purely an instinctual reaction;
animals are quite psychic, and they know when there is a sickness, and they
also know that their life form or their soul or their spiritual state is for
the betterment of mankind, so those animals who stay near their masters during
times of sickness is a sign of their willingness to give of their energies for
their master's benefit. So instead of eating the animal the animal is willingly
loaning or giving its life forces to its master; wherein an animal such as a
cow or what have you, man must eat that animal for his sustenance, for his
means of nourishing his body. Do you understand?
Questioner:
Yes, I do. When domesticated animals that we are responsible for are uncared
for or abused, like some individuals have dog fights and so forth, and these
animals die and go back to the central stockpile, does the abuse that they
suffered here have an effect that diminishes the quality of the stockpile?
The
Council: No, but it does diminish the quality of those individuals who
participate in such ghastly forms of entertainment. Care should be exercised
for in their next lifetime, if they have that opportunity, they may find
themselves impaled on a bed of spikes as just punishment for the abuse of a
spiritual source that should be uplifting and fulfilling for man.

Making Good Decisions after Bad
Once we make a bad decision, what motivates us to make the right choices from there on? William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, gives us the answer.
Questioner: Council, I had one question. Earlier you had said that after the one wrong decision and the rippling and there was a next decision. You said if the mind or "conscious" or "conscience," I wasn't sure what you said, is wise enough to make the right choice. I was curious, do you mean "conscience" there or "consciousness"?
The Council: Well, conscience and consciousness. Let us say the consciousness is what you are outwardly thinking with, the conscience is that little voice inside. Many times decisions are made from both levels. Your conscious mind may think this is the proper decision but the conscience may say it is not a proper decision. Does that answer the question?
Questioner: Then when you said "mind or conscience," then you are saying "the conscious mind or conscience" is wise enough?
The Council: Both work together.
Questioner: Since we all make dozens of decisions everyday, and if not looking for some specific achievement like developing artistic ability or music ability, but just want to try to clear away all these ripples, because after 35 years of a bunch of wrong decisions you have got a storm, not just ripples. How can you go about this? What is the best way to go about this to try to level everything out so you can start making more consistent proper decisions for the remainder of your life?
The Council: It just takes a very firm decision on the individual's part to begin to make decisions based on a godly attitude as opposed to a self-serving attitude, and eventually you eliminate the ripples, decision by decision clarifies the vision. But you have got to remember that if you have spent 35 years in making selfish decisions, you are not going to correct all that inaccuracy in all those problems that they have created in five or six little decisions. So it may take many years at re-establishing a very peaceful life. Great traumas that occur in individual's lives are not always planned. Rarely are they truly planned at a soul level as a learning experience.
One learns just as well from a life of peace and harmony as they do from a life full of pain and suffering. But it is your ego that creates the pain and the suffering. Even those who have tremendous karmic debts to pay, when their life is planned out, it is planned out as a life of great service to others, and in this service then they correct the karmic debt. What happens as a general rule, they make the wrong decisions, and therefore their life is no longer simple service but becomes one involved with all kind of pains and problems and turmoils and what have you.

Growing Spiritually
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, says that the soul creates the best life plan that it can so that it will grow spiritually.
Questioner: So then at that point the soul has determined the level of restriction, the conditions? The soul has determined that?
The Council: Let us go back to something that we have said earlier. When each of you come into the material manifestation to live a life, to attain that perfect state, believe this or not, your lives are planned out, as a general rule, to be quite calm and peaceful. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: So each decision in life based on the ego, self-serving ego distorts the view for the next decision. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: So it is bringing out this talent, this artistic talent, this beauty of the soul through this rippled existence or incorrect vision or whatever you choose to call it.

The Value of Meditation
Can meditation and practice transcend your natural physical ability? William
LePar's spiritual source, The Council, in the following exchange answers that
for us.
Questioner: Council, take for example, you wish to be a great violinist or a fine violinist, something like that. If you meditated on it and also did the physical practice, could that transcend your normal talents?
The Council: Nothing can transcend what you are. The problem is you do not realize how much there is to each one of you, so you automatically put limits to yourself. When you combine the practice with the mental desire, the meditation, the prayer, whatever, you open up a greater avenue for that ability to come out and be utilized in the material manifestation or become a reality to you. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: Everyone is created equally in the spiritual sense. Each one of you can be the greatest violinist the world has ever known. You can be the greatest painter. You can be the most perfect soul. It is how much effort will you put forth to allow that quality to come forth and materialize.
Questioner: How much of what kind of effort?
The Council: Well, whatever you put into it.
Questioner: Physical and …
The Council: It is a combination of the physical effort and the mental effort.
Questioner: Then most of those individuals that are great in various fields, it is a combination of the both or does one take precedence? Is there a trend there?
The Council: Actually, if you reach a perfect balance of the material effort and the spiritual effort, the greatest potential is released into reality or into the material manifestation. What happens is some people will go off to one side or the other. Instead of reaching the balance, they may meditate too much and not enough of the physical practice, or too much of the physical practice and not enough of the mental practice. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: So when you reach that equal balance, then the greatest potential comes through. Then the circumstances in which you are born, the circumstances which you have created in your decisions in life, will determine what that potential will be in reality, how much of it will be available to you, or how much of it you will be able to demonstrate. You can be the greatest violinist ever born, but if the opportunities are not there for you to display this ability, who is going to know your ability other than just a few people in your immediate area.

Spiritual Creativeness - The Law of Attraction
In this segment
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, explains spiritual creating and
they give us insight into what is truly necessary to utilize The Law of
Attraction. So many of us believe that desiring something strongly enough is all that is needed. The Council elaborates.
Questioner: Our
thoughts are a form of creating, is that how we create as spirit beings and is
that how God creates, simply by desiring that it be created?
The
Council: Well, you can only create so much of what you want. The
problem with society today or the world today or the spiritual community today,
they are told that simply by desiring something, simply by thinking and
concentrating on what they want, they can create it. This is a
half-truth. All creation must be within the text or conditions that you
exist in. In one's effort to concentrate strongly on the desire or on the
situation, if all the surrounding circumstances are proper, yes, you can bring
into the material manifestation your creation. You can bring it into
reality. But how many people live in a condition where that is totally
possible. So it may come to you in reality in something less than you had
desired or hoped. Does that make any sense to you?
Questioner:
Yes.
The
Council: Whenever you concentrate intently, meditate or pray upon wanting
something to materialize, you do not lose part of the essence of yourself, but
that essence is used in forming the potential for that concept to become a
reality. Do you understand that?
Questioner:
Yes.
The
Council: The electromagnetic field that you really are is not contained
in just a small area or is not permanently contained in just a small
area. It can transcend or extend out beyond the normal limits of your
being in order to create certain elements or things that you may want in your
life or certain states of your being that you may desire, certain qualities you
may wish. Does it dissipate into the etheric and leave you?
No. It is always there in that vicinity working. Again, the
circumstances around you or the circumstances you are in or the purity of
thought that you have, the strength of concentration, the determination, will
determine how perfect that creation will be when it reaches reality. You
cannot be spiritual just by desiring it and thinking about it. You become
spiritual or more evolved or more attuned or develop a stronger at-one-ment
with your Creator by meditating on it, by praying on it, but also by doing
those things that are required of a spiritual person. If you use both
ends of the spectrum, the doing and the mental creation, the chances of it
coming into reality are far greater because the actual physical doing gives a
stronger foundation, builds greater avenues where the spiritual can open up
much wider and much clearer to you.

By Giving there is Greater Room to Receive
This particular bit of channeled information from
William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, struck me and so I thought I
would share it. On the surface it seems simplistic and on one level it is but I
believe that there is more that can be discovered by meditating on what is said
beyond the words.
The Council:
Spiritual growth is not a way of life that asks you to do without, but
it is a way of life that asks you to give so that there is a greater room
within to receive. Matter, creation, life, the earth, is in existence because
of a consciousness. Your life is in existence because of a consciousness that
you have. Matter can be looked upon as the effects and consciousness is the
cause. To change your life into something more positive filled with greater joy
and peace, change your consciousness ever so little, if that is the best that you
can do, and your life will improve, your happiness will be assured, your joy
and your peace will be yours.

In the Beginning, God Drenched the Emptiness with Images: An article by William LePar.
Many times we run across wonderful quotes that in
their simplicity explain many profound ideas to us in a very direct way. There
are times because the majority of the people are not familiar with some of the
ideas or the words or the way of thinking of these great minds from the past,
so we find it necessary to bring in a little of the ideas of what they are
trying to tell us into a modern language. This is such a case.
“In the beginning, God drenched the Emptiness with
Images.” This is a quote from one of Robert Pinsky’s poems. I thought it was a
wonderful quote the first time I heard it. It spoke volumes of information to
me. Unfortunately, I don’t think everyone would have the same experience in
hearing this quote. So, I thought I would add to that something I picked up in
meditation. I do not want you to think that I am presumptuous enough to feel
that my ideas are on the same level of these great thinkers, but at times it
doesn’t hurt to add your two cents if it is within the context of what the
quote is saying, and I am trying to do that in this situation. So let us put it
together.
“In the beginning, God drenched the Emptiness with
Images.” I have added, “Desires and thoughts are the creative forces for the
creation of tomorrow.”
In our ability to imagine, can you conceive of
looking at a vast area of nothingness and then all of a sudden feeling the
Presence of some great creator throwing out a thought that creates a form in
front of your eyes? Then comes another thought, another image, that adds to the
first, and this continues until all of creation is in place. In our
experiences, in our journey through life, we rarely think of images as a
creative force, but let us look at the word “images.” Couldn’t that be
something like cause and effect? The image is the effect. The cause is what?
Desire, thoughts, are these the creative forces behind the creation of the
image? Anything is possible in the realms of creation in the presence of the
Divine. So if we say that the desires and the thoughts are the creative forces
that stimulated the image that brought about the entire creation of the
universe, then we can take it one step further and say that these images are
the cause of the forming of reality as we understand it. It is no longer images
reflected off a gossamer curtain, gently swaying in a breeze. It has now become
a three-dimensional reality, something solid, something tangible, reality as we
perceive it.
In our ability to create our life, we can form
desires and thoughts that also become creative forces. We too can let these
forces form into images that are projected on this gossamer curtain, a very
thin veil gently swaying, so that the image becomes alive and begins to move,
and yet we know that it is not completely formed yet. It is not in its
three-dimensional aspect. What do we do with this to bring it about as part of
our future, as part of our tomorrow, as part of our journey through life? Well,
since we are not as powerful as this Divine Presence, it means that we must
concentrate a little harder, project with more clarity the image that we
choose. So it may take us many times concentrating on that thought, on that
image. It may take weeks or months or even years, depending on how great that
image is, how broad that aspect of our future life we want. When we attempt to
create like the Divine has, we are creating in a very complex situation, a
creation has already been set in motion, and we must work our creations within
that Great Creation, and we must remember there are many others wanting to
create better things for themselves, a greater degree of spirituality, a
greater kindness of heart.
So, all these things must mesh together,
intertwine, interweave, so that there is an even flow into the future. Those
images will only come to pass when our desire is true enough, our thoughts are
strong enough to become a truly creative force. We cannot be wimpy about what
we want. We must be firm. We must be totally committed to our desires. They
must be strong desires, the thoughts behind the desires or the thoughts that
come from the desires must be very clear, very precise. How well do you know
what you want? How strong are your desires to create that thing?
We have an entire world around us that is filled
with uncountable dramas going on, all at the same time. Directly, these dramas
may not be connected with each other, but yet the ramification of those dramas
will extend way beyond the situation itself.
What do I mean by “dramas”? Well, look at your
life. If you were a third party viewing your life from an outside position, you
could describe it as a drama that you have written, that you are performing. So
in the term that I use “drama,” it is the same thing. There is an uncountable
number of lives in activity, in growth, in motion, that constitute all the
dramas that create our reality today.
It is interesting how we hear a lot of people talk
that they believe that thoughts are things, and yet it is just something that
they are repeating, something they read that sounds good to them, but, the fact
is, it is far truer than what we may think. For instance, how solid is that
piece of paper you are holding in your hand right now, reading this. To you it
feels very solid, very real, and yet there is no reality there at all, as we
perceive it. It is our perception of what reality should be, that is, a piece
of paper that has a thickness to it, has a solidness to it. But it is made of
atoms and where is the solidness in an atom? An atom is nothing more than a
bunch of electrical impulses. Everything we touch, everything we see, even
ourselves, is made of these atoms. So, in a sense, our reality is an
electromagnetic state or, referring to ourselves, an electromagnetic being, and
as such wouldn’t we be more powerful than the inanimate objects around us?
Doesn’t it make sense that if we concentrated enough, thought hard enough,
desired long enough, that we could create a reality that would make us happy?
If we attempt to create a selfish, little reality that centers totally around
us, the chances of that coming into fruition is literally nil. Oh, it may occur
in our minds, but in reality it is non-existent. Yet, if we develop a thought
of peace, of wholeness, of kindness for all of those around us, the chances of
that thought becoming a reality is far greater because it is not just our
thought, it is the basic thoughts of all those who seek happiness, who seek to
better themselves internally, who seek a degree of spirituality, who seek a
communion with their Creator.
If you want to create tomorrow for yourself, if
you want to be like the Divine who drenches the emptiness with images, then
think of terms that would benefit all those around you. Don’t think of what
will benefit you, but what will benefit others. When we wish good for others,
it is inevitable and inescapable that that same goodness will be ours to
experience at some time in the future, not once, not twice, but tenfold. We
find our fulfillment, our greatest creative potential, our greatest ability to
fill our emptiness with images, when we fill our thoughts with compassion, with
love, and with caring. Use your godly ability, and drench whatever emptiness is
around you with the beautiful images of peace, tranquility, love, and
wholeness.

The Council tells us of our Purpose in Life
The Council tells us of our Purpose in Life
In this exchange between a researcher and William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, they say that our purpose for being in the physical is not simply to create.
Questioner: Is the purpose of our existence whether spiritual or physical to be constantly creating?
The Council: Well, that might be considered a secondary purpose in a general sense. The purpose of the existence, each individual's existence is to recreate that completeness that you once had, re-establish that total godlike quality that each of you had. Does that answer the question?
Questioner: Are you saying that by simply increasing our creative activity that we could grow more rapidly?
The Council: Well, it would depend on what you were to create or what avenues you were to take. Simply having the soul of an artist and creating hundreds and hundreds of canvasses will not benefit you as much as being creative in how you can reach other individuals in a sense of service. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: It is fine to create something of beauty that uplifts mankind or adds to the respect and dignity of mankind, but you must also reach out to those individuals around and about you and help in ways that they may need help. So it is not just the creative potential in the sense of artistic or literary avenues or even the act of sharing intimacies with each other. You must go beyond that small circle. The ideal path to spiritual evolvement or at-one-ness again is to incorporate as much of that into your life as possible. Everyone has a degree of artistic ability, maybe not to the extent of being classified as a master of painting or an exceptional author, but even your little thoughts and ideas jotted down and shared is a form of creativity, a form of expression. Whether you show them to someone or keep them solely for yourself, it gives you an idea of what is inside of you and your sensitivity to the world around. In your society today, there are certain areas that man has become desensitized to, with all the violence and things of that nature. One does not realize the pain that exists in the world. They are desensitized to pain and suffering. So, at times, by expressing either through the written word or through some medium or another that sensitivity, that gentleness, that love, even if it is just for your own viewing or your own enjoyment, might help to sensitize you even more to your own self. Does that answer the question?
Questioner: Yes, thank you. Now, this reaching out to others, is this a form of unconditional love?
The Council: Yes. You have to learn to accept people as they are, and if they are in need of help, help them regardless of what they may look like or what their attitudes may be. We said sometime ago that you do not have to like everybody you come in contact with or deal with, but you do or you must love them. You can love a person and still not like them.

We are Creating Beings
William LePar's spiritual
source, The Council, says that we are creating beings whether in the spiritual
or physical.
The Council: Yes, these would all fall in that category. The most positive or the most creative potential lies in the area of the prayer element because through prayer things can actually be changed in the material. Expressing one's artistic abilities or sensitivities through arts and what have you is also another good potential or release, let us use that word instead, is a good release for the soul's creative potential. Does that answer the question?
Questioner: Yes, thank you. Is having sexual relations creative in itself or only when a pregnancy occurs?
The Council: It is creative in itself in that the mind or the consciousness and the soul's desire is in unison. If it is a perfect situation, that is, the sharing of one with the other or a total sharing of each other, then it in itself becomes a creative force. It bonds two individuals closer together. Whether there is a creation of life there or not does not detract from that additional creation or potential of expressing and sharing.

Communication in the Spiritual Realms
Communication in the Spiritual Realms
In this long discussion between a SOL researcher and William
LePar's spiritual source, The Council, we have a very involved discussion about
communication in the spiritual realms.
Questioner: You said, "The way we commune or
communicate with each other is in such a way that is quite hard to
explain. It is a mental process because
we are conscious beings. It is like
merging two breezes together. If you
were to take a fan in each hand and wave them back and forth, they each deliver
a breeze that merges in the center to cause a turbulence. Now we commune by putting two energy fields
together to create a turbulence."
Now, I would like to know ...
The Council: May we
pause for a statement?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: The term "turbulence" should not be
looked upon in a, how shall we say, general sense to indicate a negative
action, but to indicate an action of greater activity and power. Be sure that is understood. The word "turbulence" should not be
looked upon in its negative sense but in a powerful sense. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes.
The Council: Very
well, continue.
Questioner: I would
like to know then if this mechanism is similar to what we understand in physics
as the "beat phenomenon."
The Council: It is
too bad you are not more familiar with that concept. Continue.
Questioner: Wherein
two energy fields merge to produce a new field which represents the difference
between the two original fields?
The Council: One
could use that as an example. The
difference being that the created field is not the difference. Do you understand?
Questioner: Yes, I
think I do.
The Council: But it
is the combination of the knowledge of each entity combined to enhance the
knowledge of each entity. In other
words, if you have had an experience in the material manifestation which has
brought you wisdom and knowledge and say your spouse has had a different
experience that has brought her wisdom and knowledge, the combination of the
wisdom and of course as a secondary addition, the knowledge, the combination of
the two wisdoms then is shared, and both experience totally in that
sharing. Now, the example you gave us,
repeat it.
Questioner: In
physics there is what is known as the beat phenomenon wherein two energy fields
merge to produce a new field which represents the difference between the
original fields.
The Council: Very
well. The new field, (do you
understand?), then is what we have explained, but it is not the difference
between but the addition of. Do you
follow?
Questioner: I think
so. It sounds a little bit like harmony
where two notes together produce something additional that neither note by
itself contains.
The Council: Yes, but it is a
true experience then. It is a full and
complete experience. Do you understand?
Questioner: Then one
individual can benefit from another's experience when these fields merge?
The Council: Yes, it
is likened to an actual experience, because you have eliminated the, how shall
we put it, the trivia of the material but retain the essence of the experience
which is the true experience.
And in this then you have a more direct relationship, if we
may use that term, to the experience, even though you yourself may not have
experienced that particular activity as such.
A very crude way, even, shall we say, far more crude than the example we
gave you would be that of a vicarious experience.
Now that particular statement is on the very far limits of
what we have tried to explain to you, but that combined with what we originally
said, plus what we have just said may give you a greater insight. In other words, since you are experiencing an
activity through another soul or another entity, and a spiritual state or in
the pure conscious state the experience is much more powerful and much more
vivid and much more useful or direct, consequently, you gain the essence
without the problem of having to work for it, without having to deal with the
distractions in obtaining the essence of the experience. Since the merging of the two knowledges and
wisdoms create a third, both entities share equally then in that third, and
that third essence then or that third experience or that third, how shall we
say, activity of knowledge then is divided equally with each and becomes as
real as if either one had experienced it or the other had experienced it. But the entity or the experience, shall we
say, the third experience is not really
created out of the lack of. That is essential to
understand.
Questioner: I was wondering if this third experience, the
combined experience could then be shared as an entity in itself with other
beings?
The Council: Be
extremely careful in the term "third entity." It does not take on an entity such as you or
those in the room. We use the term
"entity" only to indicate that it is a whole, but it is not an entity
in the sense that it is thinking and conscious; it is an experience. That can be shared by either of the true
entities or souls that have exchanged the information or have communicated with
each other. It then can be shared with
any other. Those entities who have made
the first exchange or shared or communicated on their own then can share that
experience with others, and thus you have a continuous growing effect.
But remember now, that when we talked of the third, we did
not intend you to understand that you are creating an entity per se.
