How God Looks at Us

This is the closing of one of WIlliam LePar's lectures given many years ago. What is presented is certainly timeless.

"I’d like to share with you one final insight from The Council which will bring my segment to an end.  This final quote summarizes our status in the eyes of this Divine Presence.  It shows us also how to view each other.  What I found very interesting was that The Council said this is the way this Divine God or this Infinite Father looks at us, what he thinks of us.  It goes this way:

'You are a glorious being.  You are deserving of all the godly love possible and it is your responsibility to love yourself to the greatest degree possible, to respect yourself to the greatest degree possible.  To do anything less is sad, truly sad.  To set aside all that beauty and power and the glory that is yours by your birthright is sad especially when the only way that that can be set aside is to exchange it for something so trivial as the self-serving ego.  Set aside the selfish ego and take on the godly ego.  Adorn yourself with the golden robes that you were given as your birthright and walk proudly sharing yourself with others.  Walk proudly picking those up around you as others will pick you up.  Resurrect yourself at this time.  Accept your divinity.  Carry your heads high and be proud that you are truly a son and a daughter of the Divine.  You are nothing less than the heirs to all of creation that is and all that will ever be.'

That is the way this Divine Essence looks at us.  His sons, his daughters adorned in golden robes walking hand in hand with our brothers and sisters carrying each other being able to justly hold our head proud, inheriting all that has been created and all that ever will be created in the future. 

In respects to each of you I would like to personally salute each of you as ambassadors of God’s love."

The Moth to the Flame

The Moth to the Flame

Just as we are drawn to the light of God,

as moths to a flame, so is God drawn

to where love is, as a moth to a flame.

Since the beginning of mankind, we have always been drawn naturally to a light, whether it be a physical light or the light of some lost remembrance of a greater state. See how the butterfly is drawn to the light of a beautiful flower. Once landing on its petals, bathed in the reflective glow of its brilliant host, it is served the sweet nectar that is the sustenance of its life. We who are more like the moth, traveling in a land of darkness, instantaneously are attracted by the distant glow. We seek that brilliant light so that it may illuminate the darkness through which we must travel. We seek that warmth so that it may comfort us in our flight.

Is it not so that the light is provided as an act of love to guide us to a safer place? Is it not an act of love that the light provides us with a warmth? Is it not an act of love that the light illuminates the dark place in which we flutter? Is it by accident that man's conception of light is the symbol for the Giver of all that is necessary and meaningful to man? Have we not realized yet that there are no such things as accidents? That certain symbols, certain concepts, are a part of our inner being, our outer reality, so that that Love that is represented by the Light is always before us, if we choose to see it, if we choose to accept it? Is it possible that we can even begin to conceive of the light, of the flame, if there were not at least a modicum of love within us?

If there is even a small spark of love within us, then the ultimate is unavoidable. It is only a matter of time before that spark of love is drawn back into the original Source of that love. Regardless of how far distantly removed that spark has become the spark and the source are of a oneness, thus they must be drawn and once again united. And if that spark is lost in despair and darkness, then the truth will reign in this: that the Source of the light will also reach out to that spark in the distance.

Do these things just happen? Coincidence? No, like will be drawn to like because the whole cannot be whole unless all parts are present. The light cannot be as brilliant as its greatest potential if one spark is absent. The spark itself, lost in its situation, calls out for help, calls out for reuniting with its whole. Man can fight that natural urge to be drawn to his God, but it is to no avail because he was conceived in love, therefore the love of God is present in him whether he chooses to utilize it or not. This being fact then it is also fact that God will be drawn to him as he is drawn to his Maker.

What is the impelling force of these actions? Nothing short of love. The same love that we can have for each other. The love that we have for each other is the same love that the Divine has for us as individuals. The inescapable fate of man: the uniting of his soul with the Great Soul of His Creator.

Everything in life or creation, whether it is the material aspects or spiritual aspects, is connected. Nothing is isolated. In this fact of reality, that all things are connected, there are bridges or pathways or avenues, which unite all of creation, that we can travel that can bring us to different points or opportunities. Some of these avenues are simple little actions or thoughts, attitudes, or frames of mind. These are for us to use. These are not necessary for the Divine. They are necessary for us. To reach the point of having these attitudes or approaches, we have to achieve a specific understanding, a specific insight, a specific awareness, and the faith to trust in such a child-like action and belief. Remember, it is the child that the Divine encompasses in His Arms and will hold to His Bosom. The rays of God's love reach out to the simple little actions or thoughts or attitudes that carry that small spark of light from ourselves. And as the rays of God's Love connect with us through those simple little actions that we are responsible for, they act as a magnetic draw that levels out our path towards Him. And in this symbiotic connection man is carried to his crowning glory.

The Light vs The Dark

We are just beginning to transcribe William LePar's Bible Study classes from the late 1970's to early 1980's. As we do this we uncover gems that have awaited rediscovery and presentation. This is a very good sample of the insight that Bill presents in these classes.

John 1 Verse 5. Readings from 3 Bibles:
"And the light shines in darkness. A darkness which was not able to master it."
"The light that shines in the dark. A light that darkness could not overpower."
"And the light shines on the darkness for the darkness has never overpowered it, put it out or has not absorbed it, has not appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it."

In his statement the light shines in the darkness and the darkness could not put it out. John says that just as sure as there is light, there is a darkness. There is a darkness just as real, just as forceful, just as commanding as there is a force that is light. The eternal light shines in the darkness of man’s natural consciousness. Man has an innate sense of the divine word and that innate sense of the divine word is one of the very powers of that divine word. The innate sense is a natural inner knowing that there is something higher than you, something that created you. Whether you are aware of it or not, whether you would call it a god or not, man has a natural knowingness that there is something higher and he always reaches for that gift from the highest.

Even the most primitive of natives worship a god. From where does their idea of a god come? Even in a jungle where there are no machines, no radios, still they worship idols. Why? Because there is that innate sense. There is an inner knowing. That is part of the divine word. That is one of the facets of the divine word. Sooner or later, whether you are primitive or whether you are the most wealthy person in the world, if you are not searching for god, there is going to be a knowing inside. There is going to be an eating inside. You may spend an entire lifetime running away from that feeling, but that is exactly what you will be doing – spending your entire life running, if you do not turn around and start searching. You cannot escape. It is impossible. The most wretched person that you know, the meanest, a murderer, knows that there is something higher inside whether he wants to admit it or not.

God has permitted the negativity of man to create a force equal to God, but on the dark side. That force though will never overcome the Godhead. Man has created this force or spirit. John says there is nothing that exists that God has not created. God has created everything, but He has allowed his creations free will. He does not say, you cannot do this or that, you cannot live your lifestyle, I want you to live this lifestyle. He gives you the free choice. You could say when God put us in the Garden of Eden, we were not satisfied with our position, so we wanted a little more than what God gave us. We took a bite from an apple or we could say when God brought spirit into existence, spirit was not happy with its coexistence with God. It wanted to create on its own, so it created material, the physical, we came and got trapped in our own creation. Whatever way you want to put it. It is all the same thing.

If God did not create darkness then how did it get so powerful? We feed it. Each and every one of us. When we do something that we know is not an act of love we are feeding that darkness. As we feed the darkness we are tapping into the darkness and we can become a vehicle of that darkness. We can point a finger at anybody and project evilness to a person whether it is physically pointing or mentally pointing. We can collect; we are tapped into both channels. We control which force is flowing through us – the light or the dark. It is as if you have two plugs coming out of your back. One is plugged in to the source of light and one is plugged in to the source of darkness. You have master switches. You turn one on and the other one off. They work automatically. When one comes on the other goes off. You choose whether you want to tap into the source of darkness or whether you want to tap into the source of light and you can project every atom of energy of that evilness, that darkness.

John says no matter how the darkness tried it could not put out the light, nor will it ever put out the light. The creating force can never be extinguished by that which is its creation. God created us in a perfect state. That is the example given in Adam and Eve. We were in a Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden could have been God creating us in a spiritual form and allowing us to coexist with Him in that setting, but we were not satisfied. We wanted more. We wanted to create beyond Him. So He gave us a playground – the universe.

To summarize what is said above: God did not create darkness. He did not create evil. His creations, His subjects, His children, did the dirty work. They did the creating of the darkness, not God, and God loved us so much that He allowed us to do that. He wanted us to have free will, free choice. That is why you and I are responsible for the darkness, nobody else, and nothing else. The only way to eliminate the darkness is to turn the switch off, stop feeding it, and turn on the other switch. Start taking new life into us. The more that we start tapping into the light source the less the dark source will have to feed on, because one is an adding to and the other is a taking away. One is positive and one is negative. Active, passive. You find that similarity running through everything. The light is the God given force, that is the creating force, that is the energy. The darkness is the subtraction, the drawing away. Each time you go closer to the dark side you go further away from the light thus it is harder to tap into the light. Darkness stands for the natural existence of all those who hate the good. John states that the darkness can hate the Christ, the love aspect of God, but it can never rid itself of him. It can never get rid of him. Not all the darkness there is in this entire universe can extinguish one little flicker of light. You take a candle, even a smaller one, I do not care how dark a room is, I do not care how vast the room is, can that darkness put it out? No. Yet that little candle can light up an awfully big area. That little candle in a dark room, I don’t care how big the room is, can be seen from quite a distance. That is an example on a physical level. Just as that exists on a physical level that exists on a spiritual level too, on the next level.

A Blessing for the New Year

At the completion of every one of William LePar's trances his spiritual source, The Council, would offer a blessing. The following blessing seems appropriate for the New Year.

The Council:

It is with all the love that we can possibly send to you that we give a blessing to you all.  We hope that the Divine Father expresses Himself to you as He has to us.  We hope that He gives you the understanding and the wisdom to use that which has been given to you.  And as we hope you pray for one another, we too shall pray for you.  At times when you are made aware of certain information it seems to become insurmountable, but that is only your human weakness that sees it as such.  Remember nothing is ever given to you that you cannot fully overcome and have much to spare.  Keeping this thought in mind and having faith in your  Divine Father and His Love that He has for you, know that you will have more than is enough.  Know that you are His chosen children.  Know that you are most assuredly instigated by Him, and that you do have a very specific purpose in His Plan and that you do absolutely have the strength to fulfill it. 

Life After Death Part 4 - NDE

Near death experiences occur for a specific reason. The Council has said that the purpose of near death experiences is to “reestablish in the awareness of man that there is a continuation of life after death, that we are truly immortal.” They say that what people experience when they have a near death experience is presented in symbolic form. This is necessary so that they have something they can relate to when they talk to others after they return from the experience. The spiritual is nearly impossible to explain to the finite mind that we utilize for our physical experiences.

In the following quote The Council explains the most common symbols in the near death experience.

"Those who have seen beyond the veil have seen quite clearly, and there is no way to prove their experience; but these things come to the forefront of man's awareness now to bring a greater awareness of an existence afterwards; also to bring to his awareness the responsibility that he must assume for his actions. All things have their purpose, and there will be more and more interest in what exists after this manifestation."

“There is a universal symbol of light, and the experience of the shaft of light or a tunnel of light or what have you is the soul's way of communicating through the physical organ of the brain what it experienced. It is the bringing back in symbols or pictures the experience that it had when it was released totally from the physical container and then regains its position in that same physical container.”

In the near death experience the soul is totally released from the physical body. The physical container will continue to function for a short period of time, not necessarily breathing or having a heartbeat, but the cellular integrity is maintained.

These symbols usually consist of a tunnel, shaft of light, the meeting of loved ones or religious figures and, in some cases, they see a city of lights.

The Council tells us how we can put the near death experience to use in a positive manner and the importance of the symbolism.

“Hold the symbolisms because they give you something to relate to, but do not place your mind or your thoughts so rigid as to -- this will be actually a city of lights, this will be actually a shaft of light.  Take them in the sense in which they bring to you or the attitude that they bring to you; such as a city of light is a heavenly place. As you think about such symbolism as a city of light, also think about a heavenly place. As you think of a shaft of light, also think of spiritual growth and enlightenment, then that way you are broadening yourself and not holding yourself rigid to words."

Life After Death Part 3 - Making the Adjustment

Many years ago William LePar had a near death experience (NDE). It took him several years before he could talk about it and even more time before he began to explain some of the more involved experiences. He said that it was necessary for him to think and attempt to fully understand the experience before he could try explain it to others. Some aspects of it were almost beyond physical understanding and explanation. I hope that you find these thoughts interesting.

Mr. LePar: "A death experience is a very beautiful experience but it’s not a fantasy. Not everything is roses on the other side. When you cross over you are going to have a period of time where you are indoctrinated into your state of existence. That’s the best way to describe it, because we are so tied to this physical that once we leave it, it’s like, 'gee we are in a whole new world.' We don’t even realize that’s where we originated from. That’s how heavy the earthly experience is, the physical experience is, so when you initially cross over it’s like, 'my God it’s a whole new thing.' We are surprised that we run into members of our family that are deceased. Well, what did you expect? Sure, my mother is not really my mother on the spiritual side as she is just another soul that I negotiated a contract with. She agreed to be my mother in my physical life, but in that negotiation and in that relationship, you do develop real true feelings and interests in the souls that you have worked with. So when you cross over initially you are going to have that same feeling of a mother or a father that you had when they were alive, when you were together alive, but that’s short lived. You are awakened to the fact that yes, that soul cares about you because of your interaction but that soul really isn’t your mother or your father."

 Audience: Does that soul care for you more because you had that relationship than another soul that you didn’t have a relationship with?

 Mr. LePar: "It’s not a question of if they care more for you than someone else. It’s a different form of caring. Once you get on the other side you understand there’s only one kind of love period. Love is love, but there are a number of ways or situations in which we express that love. It’s all equal. It’s just different ways or different situations. When you are talking about parents, that love that you feel for them and they feel for you, is just the same love that they feel for someone else that they had nothing to do with as far as a relationship. Some things are very hard to explain because we are not capable of thinking or understanding the way it is on the other side. It’s like when people say 'What about time?' There’s no such thing as time. You have experiences and they have nothing to do with time. My near death experience lasted 15 minutes. I have said this many times, it was like living 3 months on the other side, living 24 hours a day, never sleeping. How could you not sleep? There was no sleep. I can’t say to you that I talked to so and so for 20 minutes, because there is no 20 minutes. There’s no time. It was an experience but in trying to translate all the things that I experienced, all I can do is say it was like I was over there 3 months and never had time to sleep. I was going 24 hours a day. It’s hard to comprehend because the material state is so ingrained in us that we can’t comprehend anything other than this.

Now this is my feeling, my personal interpretation. The traveling through the tunnel is a symbolic form of moving from the heavy to the light. When I say light I am not talking about light as far as brightness. I am talking as far as state of existence. I think it’s something that is a symbolic resurrection, if you want to call it that, to help us leave behind and raise the consciousness to 'hey, we are in a new place here, a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of experiencing.'”
