The Value of Meditation

Can meditation and practice transcend your natural physical ability? William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, in the following exchange answers that for us.

Questioner:  Council, take for example, you wish to be a great violinist or a fine violinist, something like that.  If you meditated on it and also did the physical practice, could that transcend your normal talents?

The Council:  Nothing can transcend what you are.  The problem is you do not realize how much there is to each one of you, so you automatically put limits to yourself.  When you combine the practice with the mental desire, the meditation, the prayer, whatever, you open up a greater avenue for that ability to come out and be utilized in the material manifestation or become a reality to you.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council:  Everyone is created equally in the spiritual sense.  Each one of you can be the greatest violinist the world has ever known.  You can be the greatest painter.  You can be the most perfect soul.  It is how much effort will you put forth to allow that quality to come forth and materialize.

Questioner:  How much of what kind of effort?

The Council:  Well, whatever you put into it.

Questioner:  Physical and …

The Council:  It is a combination of the physical effort and the mental effort.

Questioner:  Then most of those individuals that are great in various fields, it is a combination of the both or does one take precedence?  Is there a trend there?

The Council:  Actually, if you reach a perfect balance of the material effort and the spiritual effort, the greatest potential is released into reality or into the material manifestation.  What happens is some people will go off to one side or the other.  Instead of reaching the balance, they may meditate too much and not enough of the physical practice, or too much of the physical practice and not enough of the mental practice.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council:  So when you reach that equal balance, then the greatest potential comes through.  Then the circumstances in which you are born, the circumstances which you have created in your decisions in life, will determine what that potential will be in reality, how much of it will be available to you, or how much of it you will be able to demonstrate.  You can be the greatest violinist ever born, but if the opportunities are not there for you to display this ability, who is going to know your ability other than just a few people in your immediate area.

Spiritual Creativeness - The Law of Attraction

In this segment William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, explains spiritual creating and they give us insight into what is truly necessary to utilize The Law of Attraction. So many of us believe that desiring something strongly enough is all that is needed. The Council elaborates.

Questioner: Our thoughts are a form of creating, is that how we create as spirit beings and is that how God creates, simply by desiring that it be created?

The Council:  Well, you can only create so much of what you want.  The problem with society today or the world today or the spiritual community today, they are told that simply by desiring something, simply by thinking and concentrating on what they want, they can create it.  This is a half-truth.  All creation must be within the text or conditions that you exist in.  In one's effort to concentrate strongly on the desire or on the situation, if all the surrounding circumstances are proper, yes, you can bring into the material manifestation your creation.  You can bring it into reality.  But how many people live in a condition where that is totally possible.  So it may come to you in reality in something less than you had desired or hoped.  Does that make any sense to you?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council:  Whenever you concentrate intently, meditate or pray upon wanting something to materialize, you do not lose part of the essence of yourself, but that essence is used in forming the potential for that concept to become a reality.  Do you understand that?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council:  The electromagnetic field that you really are is not contained in just a small area or is not permanently contained in just a small area.  It can transcend or extend out beyond the normal limits of your being in order to create certain elements or things that you may want in your life or certain states of your being that you may desire, certain qualities you may wish.  Does it dissipate into the etheric and leave you?  No.  It is always there in that vicinity working.  Again, the circumstances around you or the circumstances you are in or the purity of thought that you have, the strength of concentration, the determination, will determine how perfect that creation will be when it reaches reality.  You cannot be spiritual just by desiring it and thinking about it.  You become spiritual or more evolved or more attuned or develop a stronger at-one-ment with your Creator by meditating on it, by praying on it, but also by doing those things that are required of a spiritual person.  If you use both ends of the spectrum, the doing and the mental creation, the chances of it coming into reality are far greater because the actual physical doing gives a stronger foundation, builds greater avenues where the spiritual can open up much wider and much clearer to you.

By Giving there is Greater Room to Receive

This particular bit of channeled information from William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, struck me and so I thought I would share it. On the surface it seems simplistic and on one level it is but I believe that there is more that can be discovered by meditating on what is said beyond the words.

The Council:  Spiritual growth is not a way of life that asks you to do without, but it is a way of life that asks you to give so that there is a greater room within to receive. Matter, creation, life, the earth, is in existence because of a consciousness. Your life is in existence because of a consciousness that you have. Matter can be looked upon as the effects and consciousness is the cause. To change your life into something more positive filled with greater joy and peace, change your consciousness ever so little, if that is the best that you can do, and your life will improve, your happiness will be assured, your joy and your peace will be yours.

In the Beginning, God Drenched the Emptiness with Images: An article by William LePar.

Many times we run across wonderful quotes that in their simplicity explain many profound ideas to us in a very direct way. There are times because the majority of the people are not familiar with some of the ideas or the words or the way of thinking of these great minds from the past, so we find it necessary to bring in a little of the ideas of what they are trying to tell us into a modern language. This is such a case.

“In the beginning, God drenched the Emptiness with Images.” This is a quote from one of Robert Pinsky’s poems. I thought it was a wonderful quote the first time I heard it. It spoke volumes of information to me. Unfortunately, I don’t think everyone would have the same experience in hearing this quote. So, I thought I would add to that something I picked up in meditation. I do not want you to think that I am presumptuous enough to feel that my ideas are on the same level of these great thinkers, but at times it doesn’t hurt to add your two cents if it is within the context of what the quote is saying, and I am trying to do that in this situation. So let us put it together.

“In the beginning, God drenched the Emptiness with Images.” I have added, “Desires and thoughts are the creative forces for the creation of tomorrow.”

In our ability to imagine, can you conceive of looking at a vast area of nothingness and then all of a sudden feeling the Presence of some great creator throwing out a thought that creates a form in front of your eyes? Then comes another thought, another image, that adds to the first, and this continues until all of creation is in place. In our experiences, in our journey through life, we rarely think of images as a creative force, but let us look at the word “images.” Couldn’t that be something like cause and effect? The image is the effect. The cause is what? Desire, thoughts, are these the creative forces behind the creation of the image? Anything is possible in the realms of creation in the presence of the Divine. So if we say that the desires and the thoughts are the creative forces that stimulated the image that brought about the entire creation of the universe, then we can take it one step further and say that these images are the cause of the forming of reality as we understand it. It is no longer images reflected off a gossamer curtain, gently swaying in a breeze. It has now become a three-dimensional reality, something solid, something tangible, reality as we perceive it.

In our ability to create our life, we can form desires and thoughts that also become creative forces. We too can let these forces form into images that are projected on this gossamer curtain, a very thin veil gently swaying, so that the image becomes alive and begins to move, and yet we know that it is not completely formed yet. It is not in its three-dimensional aspect. What do we do with this to bring it about as part of our future, as part of our tomorrow, as part of our journey through life? Well, since we are not as powerful as this Divine Presence, it means that we must concentrate a little harder, project with more clarity the image that we choose. So it may take us many times concentrating on that thought, on that image. It may take weeks or months or even years, depending on how great that image is, how broad that aspect of our future life we want. When we attempt to create like the Divine has, we are creating in a very complex situation, a creation has already been set in motion, and we must work our creations within that Great Creation, and we must remember there are many others wanting to create better things for themselves, a greater degree of spirituality, a greater kindness of heart.

So, all these things must mesh together, intertwine, interweave, so that there is an even flow into the future. Those images will only come to pass when our desire is true enough, our thoughts are strong enough to become a truly creative force. We cannot be wimpy about what we want. We must be firm. We must be totally committed to our desires. They must be strong desires, the thoughts behind the desires or the thoughts that come from the desires must be very clear, very precise. How well do you know what you want? How strong are your desires to create that thing?

We have an entire world around us that is filled with uncountable dramas going on, all at the same time. Directly, these dramas may not be connected with each other, but yet the ramification of those dramas will extend way beyond the situation itself.

What do I mean by “dramas”? Well, look at your life. If you were a third party viewing your life from an outside position, you could describe it as a drama that you have written, that you are performing. So in the term that I use “drama,” it is the same thing. There is an uncountable number of lives in activity, in growth, in motion, that constitute all the dramas that create our reality today.

It is interesting how we hear a lot of people talk that they believe that thoughts are things, and yet it is just something that they are repeating, something they read that sounds good to them, but, the fact is, it is far truer than what we may think. For instance, how solid is that piece of paper you are holding in your hand right now, reading this. To you it feels very solid, very real, and yet there is no reality there at all, as we perceive it. It is our perception of what reality should be, that is, a piece of paper that has a thickness to it, has a solidness to it. But it is made of atoms and where is the solidness in an atom? An atom is nothing more than a bunch of electrical impulses. Everything we touch, everything we see, even ourselves, is made of these atoms. So, in a sense, our reality is an electromagnetic state or, referring to ourselves, an electromagnetic being, and as such wouldn’t we be more powerful than the inanimate objects around us? Doesn’t it make sense that if we concentrated enough, thought hard enough, desired long enough, that we could create a reality that would make us happy? If we attempt to create a selfish, little reality that centers totally around us, the chances of that coming into fruition is literally nil. Oh, it may occur in our minds, but in reality it is non-existent. Yet, if we develop a thought of peace, of wholeness, of kindness for all of those around us, the chances of that thought becoming a reality is far greater because it is not just our thought, it is the basic thoughts of all those who seek happiness, who seek to better themselves internally, who seek a degree of spirituality, who seek a communion with their Creator.

If you want to create tomorrow for yourself, if you want to be like the Divine who drenches the emptiness with images, then think of terms that would benefit all those around you. Don’t think of what will benefit you, but what will benefit others. When we wish good for others, it is inevitable and inescapable that that same goodness will be ours to experience at some time in the future, not once, not twice, but tenfold. We find our fulfillment, our greatest creative potential, our greatest ability to fill our emptiness with images, when we fill our thoughts with compassion, with love, and with caring. Use your godly ability, and drench whatever emptiness is around you with the beautiful images of peace, tranquility, love, and wholeness.

The Council tells us of our Purpose in Life 

In this exchange between a researcher and William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, they say that our purpose for being in the physical is not simply to create. 

Questioner: Is the purpose of our existence whether spiritual or physical to be constantly creating? 

The Council: Well, that might be considered a secondary purpose in a general sense. The purpose of the existence, each individual's existence is to recreate that completeness that you once had, re-establish that total godlike quality that each of you had. Does that answer the question? 

Questioner: Are you saying that by simply increasing our creative activity that we could grow more rapidly? 

The Council: Well, it would depend on what you were to create or what avenues you were to take. Simply having the soul of an artist and creating hundreds and hundreds of canvasses will not benefit you as much as being creative in how you can reach other individuals in a sense of service. Do you understand? 

Questioner: Yes. 

The Council: It is fine to create something of beauty that uplifts mankind or adds to the respect and dignity of mankind, but you must also reach out to those individuals around and about you and help in ways that they may need help. So it is not just the creative potential in the sense of artistic or literary avenues or even the act of sharing intimacies with each other. You must go beyond that small circle. The ideal path to spiritual evolvement or at-one-ness again is to incorporate as much of that into your life as possible. Everyone has a degree of artistic ability, maybe not to the extent of being classified as a master of painting or an exceptional author, but even your little thoughts and ideas jotted down and shared is a form of creativity, a form of expression. Whether you show them to someone or keep them solely for yourself, it gives you an idea of what is inside of you and your sensitivity to the world around. In your society today, there are certain areas that man has become desensitized to, with all the violence and things of that nature. One does not realize the pain that exists in the world. They are desensitized to pain and suffering. So, at times, by expressing either through the written word or through some medium or another that sensitivity, that gentleness, that love, even if it is just for your own viewing or your own enjoyment, might help to sensitize you even more to your own self. Does that answer the question? 

Questioner: Yes, thank you. Now, this reaching out to others, is this a form of unconditional love? 

The Council: Yes. You have to learn to accept people as they are, and if they are in need of help, help them regardless of what they may look like or what their attitudes may be. We said sometime ago that you do not have to like everybody you come in contact with or deal with, but you do or you must love them. You can love a person and still not like them.

We are Creating Beings

William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, says that we are creating beings whether in the spiritual or physical.

Questioner:  You stated, "If you cannot participate in some form of conscious creation, you will never grow." Can activities such as painting pictures, writing poems, cooking meals or saying prayers be types of conscious creating that you referred to?

The Council:  Yes, these would all fall in that category.  The most positive or the most creative potential lies in the area of the prayer element because through prayer things can actually be changed in the material.  Expressing one's artistic abilities or sensitivities through arts and what have you is also another good potential or release, let us use that word instead, is a good release for the soul's creative potential.  Does that answer the question?

Questioner:  Yes, thank you.  Is having sexual relations creative in itself or only when a pregnancy occurs?

The Council:  It is creative in itself in that the mind or the consciousness and the soul's desire is in unison.  If it is a perfect situation, that is, the sharing of one with the other or a total sharing of each other, then it in itself becomes a creative force.  It bonds two individuals closer together.  Whether there is a creation of life there or not does not detract from that additional creation or potential of expressing and sharing.

Communication in the Spiritual Realms

In this long discussion between a SOL researcher and William LePar's spiritual source, The Council, we have a very involved discussion about communication in the spiritual realms.

Questioner: You said, "The way we commune or communicate with each other is in such a way that is quite hard to explain.  It is a mental process because we are conscious beings.  It is like merging two breezes together.  If you were to take a fan in each hand and wave them back and forth, they each deliver a breeze that merges in the center to cause a turbulence.  Now we commune by putting two energy fields together to create a turbulence."  Now, I would like to know ...

The Council:  May we pause for a statement?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council: The term "turbulence" should not be looked upon in a, how shall we say, general sense to indicate a negative action, but to indicate an action of greater activity and power.  Be sure that is understood.  The word "turbulence" should not be looked upon in its negative sense but in a powerful sense.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes.

The Council:  Very well, continue.

Questioner:  I would like to know then if this mechanism is similar to what we understand in physics as the "beat phenomenon."

The Council:  It is too bad you are not more familiar with that concept. Continue.

Questioner:  Wherein two energy fields merge to produce a new field which represents the difference between the two original fields?

The Council:  One could use that as an example.  The difference being that the created field is not the difference.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Yes, I think I do.

The Council:  But it is the combination of the knowledge of each entity combined to enhance the knowledge of each entity.  In other words, if you have had an experience in the material manifestation which has brought you wisdom and knowledge and say your spouse has had a different experience that has brought her wisdom and knowledge, the combination of the wisdom and of course as a secondary addition, the knowledge, the combination of the two wisdoms then is shared, and both experience totally in that sharing.  Now, the example you gave us, repeat it.

Questioner:  In physics there is what is known as the beat phenomenon wherein two energy fields merge to produce a new field which represents the difference between the original fields.

The Council:  Very well.  The new field, (do you understand?), then is what we have explained, but it is not the difference between but the addition of.  Do you follow?

Questioner:  I think so.  It sounds a little bit like harmony where two notes together produce something additional that neither note by itself contains.

The Council:  Yes, but it is a true experience then.  It is a full and complete experience.  Do you understand?

Questioner:  Then one individual can benefit from another's experience when these fields merge?

The Council:  Yes, it is likened to an actual experience, because you have eliminated the, how shall we put it, the trivia of the material but retain the essence of the experience which is the true experience.

And in this then you have a more direct relationship, if we may use that term, to the experience, even though you yourself may not have experienced that particular activity as such.  A very crude way, even, shall we say, far more crude than the example we gave you would be that of a vicarious experience.

Now that particular statement is on the very far limits of what we have tried to explain to you, but that combined with what we originally said, plus what we have just said may give you a greater insight.  In other words, since you are experiencing an activity through another soul or another entity, and a spiritual state or in the pure conscious state the experience is much more powerful and much more vivid and much more useful or direct, consequently, you gain the essence without the problem of having to work for it, without having to deal with the distractions in obtaining the essence of the experience.  Since the merging of the two knowledges and wisdoms create a third, both entities share equally then in that third, and that third essence then or that third experience or that third, how shall we say, activity of knowledge then is divided equally with each and becomes as real as if either one had experienced it or the other had experienced it.  But the entity or the experience, shall we say, the third experience is not really

created out of the lack of. That is essential to understand. 

Questioner: I was wondering if this third experience, the combined experience could then be shared as an entity in itself with other beings?

The Council:  Be extremely careful in the term "third entity."  It does not take on an entity such as you or those in the room.  We use the term "entity" only to indicate that it is a whole, but it is not an entity in the sense that it is thinking and conscious; it is an experience.  That can be shared by either of the true entities or souls that have exchanged the information or have communicated with each other.  It then can be shared with any other.  Those entities who have made the first exchange or shared or communicated on their own then can share that experience with others, and thus you have a continuous growing effect. 

But remember now, that when we talked of the third, we did not intend you to understand that you are creating an entity per se.
